DISKORA PRIVACY POLICY (Website + App)

This policy covers the Diskora website and the Windows app.
Last Updated: 2026-02-10

Diskora is designed with a “local-first” approach: disk analysis, categorization, and cleanup operations run primarily on your device. By default, we do not send your scan results to our servers.

Summary
Most app data stays on your device. The website may use essential cookies and (if enabled) advertising cookies.
Ads (AdSense)
If Google AdSense is enabled, ad providers may use cookies/similar identifiers. A consent banner may be shown depending on your region.
Support
If you email us, we process only what is needed to respond to your request.

1) Scope

This policy covers: (a) the Diskora website (marketing pages, announcements, and content), (b) the Diskora Windows app (scan, categories, cleanup tools, logs, and settings), and (c) communications with us (e.g., email support).

2) Data Processed on the Website

When you visit the website, hosting infrastructure may automatically process certain data for security and operations:

  • IP address (may be personal data in some jurisdictions)
  • Date/time, requested pages/paths, response status codes
  • Browser type and basic device info (User-Agent)
  • Referrer (if provided)

Cookies: The website may use cookies/local storage for essential functionality such as language preference (TR/EN). You can manage cookies via your browser settings.

Advertising (Google AdSense): If ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver/measure ads and (where permitted) personalize them.

CMS: If content is managed via a CMS, the CMS provider may receive standard request data (e.g., IP, User-Agent) when the website fetches content.

3) Data Processed in the App (Diskora Windows)

Diskora processes the following types of data locally to show disk usage for the drives/folders you select:

  • File/folder names, extensions, and paths
  • Size information and counts (files/folders)
  • Category matches and summarized metadata for lists (e.g., largest files)

Cleanup/Tools: Operations like temporary file cleanup and automated RAM cleanup run only when you initiate/confirm them or enable the relevant automation. During operations, only necessary summaries (operation name, duration, result) may be stored locally.

Settings: Preferences such as language (TR/EN), “run at startup”, “run as admin”, scan options, exclusion lists, and UI preferences may be stored on your device.

Logs: The app may keep small local logs for debugging and quality improvements (e.g., scan started/stopped, cleanup completed). In supported versions, logs may be stored encrypted/compressed on your device.

Optional Online Content: Online content (e.g., announcements) may be fetched only if this feature is enabled. In that case, standard network data (IP/User-Agent) may be visible to the hosting service.

Microsoft Store: If you install Diskora via a store (e.g., Microsoft Store), billing is handled by the store provider; we do not store your payment card details.

4) Where Data Is Stored

Diskora primarily uses local storage. Settings, cache, and logs are typically stored under your Windows user profile (e.g., LocalAppData). For performance, some scan results may be cached locally and can be cleared via the app or the system.

5) Data We Do Not Aim to Collect

  • File contents (Diskora typically uses name/path/size, not contents)
  • Keystrokes, screen recordings, microphone/camera data
  • Contacts/address book data, private messages
  • Sensitive personal data (health, biometrics, etc.)

6) Purposes

  • Perform storage analysis (scan, categorize, list)
  • Execute cleanup/optimization actions you choose
  • Save preferences and improve usability
  • Diagnose errors and improve performance (via local logs)
  • (If enabled) display online announcements/discover content

7) Sharing of Data

By default, app scan data is not shared with third parties. Limited sharing may occur in these cases:

  • Advertising providers (Website — if AdSense is enabled)
  • Hosting/CMS providers (to deliver website content)
  • Store providers (distribution/purchase processing)
  • External links (GitHub/Discord etc. may process data under their own policies)
  • Legal requirements (valid lawful request/court order)

We do not sell your personal information.

8) Retention

  • Settings: until you delete them or uninstall the app.
  • Cache/scan results: may be kept for performance; can be cleared.
  • Logs: may have size limits and can be rotated/overwritten.
  • Website server logs: kept for a limited period for security/operations.
  • Cookies: according to cookie type and your browser settings.

9) Security

We apply safe local handling, data minimization, and practical safeguards. However, no method can guarantee 100% security.

10) Children’s Privacy

Diskora is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us.

11) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction/objection, and portability.

  • Because most app data is local, you can remove it by clearing data in the app or uninstalling it.
  • On the website, you can clear/block cookies in your browser settings.
  • You can manage ad personalization via Google ad settings (if AdSense is enabled).

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated “Last Updated” date indicates the current version. Significant changes may be announced on the website or in-app.
